An early morning calamity on the Kranji Expressway (KJE) towards the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) led to a massive traffic jam that stretched all the way to the entrance of the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE).
A fatal accident involving a motorcycle and a car had transpired during the morning rush hour after the Brickland Road exit. A blue police tent was set up in the middle of the expressway to conceal the body, shutting off three whole lanes on the KJE.
With traffic slowing down to a crawl, police advised motorists to avoid using the road and seek alternatives. But as of writing, all lanes on the expressway have been re-opened to traffic.
