Despite both of them looking very happy and well-adjusted in their roles — however regressive it may be — dozens of netizens are none to happy about Jerald and his love for his Stepford Wife. The usage of Male Chauvinist Pig (MCP) is used generously down here.
At the end of the day however, Jerald and Esther look pretty comfy in the roles they’ve settled into their relationship and that’s pretty much all that needs to be said about their marriage. If they’re happy in their cult of domesticity, who’s to say they’re wrong?
