An Australian man — who boarded a British Airways flight at Changi Airport totally intoxicated — made a fool of himself by being a total drunken idiot en route to Sydney, causing the plane to turn back to Singapore.
The 35-year-old reportedly started getting a touchy-feely with the female passenger sitting next to him, rubbing his hand over her thigh and hand, and even tried to kiss her as the plane was taxiing on the runway of Terminal 1 back in March.
The ruckus he caused forced the flight to return to Changi Airport, where two police officers arrived to arrest the man, The New Paper reports. Both of them noted that his face was flushed, and it was later discovered that his blood contained an excessive amount of alcohol at 224mg of ethanol per 100ml of blood — triple the legal limit for driving.
The troubles did not stop there however. As a police officer informed the man that he was being arrested, he struggled with the lawmen and kicked a 31-year-old sergeant on his jaw.
Later on, when he was detained in the back of a police vehicle at the airport, he kicked another police officer in the face.
Both of the officers suffered bruises from the attacks.
In court, he was sentenced to a total of two months and three weeks in prison for his actions. The Deputy Public Prosecutor mentioned that he had disrupted the lives of all 297 people on board when his exploits caused the plane to turn back and left the flight delayed by close to two hours.
