Drug syndicate leader may have been receiving drugs by mail: CNB

If you think snail mail has gone out of fashion, not so for this drug syndicate!

One of the two suspected drug syndicate leaders arrested by Central Narcotics Bureau is believed to have been receiving drugs from overseas by mail. The 29-year-old Singaporean male suspect stashed his drugs in Sengkang.

The other suspect arrested in a separate raid is a 38-year-old Singaporean who was picked up in a housing unit in Yung Kuang Road together with his 22-year-old female accomplice.

CNB also rounded up suspected traffickers and clients and seized illegal drugs that included “ice”, heroin, cannabis and Erimin-5 tablets.

Investigations are ongoing.
