As if all the rainbow bagels, cotton candy sodas, salted egg churros and other modern edible oddities weren’t amusing enough, Geylang Bazaar played host to a proper police car chase that ended in thunderous collision.
Last night, hundreds of street market attendees witnessed the dramatic incident unfold at about 8.50pm, when a police patrol car was chasing down a car. A crash had to happen eventually in the busy Sunday evening Geylang traffic, and soon enough the police vehicle collided with an innocent BMW car in front of a crowded bus stop along Sims Avenue.

An ambulance had to be activated to the scene as a male driver in his 30s was injured from the accident. He was conveyed to Changi General Hospital.
As for the car that the cops were chasing in the first place, the driver appeared to have successfully fled the scene. Investigations are ongoing.
