Don’t let this story fly over you — help this lost bird find its owner

You’ll want to Tweet about this one — a couple are chirping an alert for the owner of this beautiful bird which flew into unnamed condominium along Nathan Road at River Valley.

Speaking to Coconuts Singapore, Kavita and Anu believe that the tagged bird — possibly a Conure — is a hand-reared one, given its friendliness and domesticated behaviour.

Currently, the couple are winging it by housing the docile bird temporarily while waiting for its owner(s) to take it back home. No reports or enquiry about a missing bird has been made at the SPCA, Agri-food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore and the Animal Concerns Research & Education Society.

“Let’s give this lovely little feathery friend the best chance of finding its home again,” they wrote.

“It is too comfortable with and trusting of humans for us to believe that it was either let go or flew to escape. An unhappy accident that it flew beyond its comfort zone seems most likely.”

If you’re somehow familiar with this little birdy, you can contact Kavita at kavita@arjunbatra.com.
