28-year-old Indonesian domestic worker Pipih Sopiah, was jailed four months for attempting to poison her employer with insecticide.
According to Channel NewsAsia, Pipih was unhappy after her employer had scolded her and had rinsed and refilled a cup with water after spraying it with insecticide. She then served it to her boss.
Pipih could’ve been jailed up to six months and fined SGD2,500, but was offered leniency by the court in light of her role as a single mother.
