In case you’re wondering, this is exactly how it feels like when someone cheats on you.
Food chain BreadTalk has confessed to its deception and apologised following a Redwire Times post showing an employee using Yeo’s soya bean milk to fill up plastic bottles marked freshly prepared.
BreadTalk reasons that those are actually recycled bottles, previously used for their fresh juices. It also readily admitted that it does not make its own soya bean milk, and buys one-litre packs from Yeo’s in bulk, according to this Straits Times report.
But you know what’s more shocking than BreadTalk’s unintentional deception (we’re giving them the benefit of the doubt)? That of all its employees who knew about this, no one was concerned enough to raise it to management or the consumer association.
That, frankly, leaves a sour taste in one’s mouth.
