Three motorcyclists were conveyed to hospital last Thursday morning after they were involved in a chain collision that saw six vehicles piled up along the Tampines Expressway (TPE).
Dashcam footage of the major traffic accident has since emerged, showing the painful aftermath of a cab that slammed its brakes. The driver trailing behind the cab wasn’t able to slow down in time and hit the rear of the taxi before the three motorcyclists got involved in the pile-up.
According to the description provided by a witness, an off-duty paramedic was fortunately around to provide assistance to the fallen riders, who were said to have suffered fractured ribs and legs. The three injured motorcyclists were conveyed conscious to Changi General Hospital for treatment.
We can’t stress enough the importance of maintaining safe following distances on the road, as well as the importance of dash cams, which will provide invaluable footage in times like these.
