Founding artistic director of local theatre company W!ld Rice and Cultural Medallion winner Ivan Heng, announced on Facebook on Aug. 3 that he was now “openly married” to his colleague and partner of 18 years Tony Trickett.
The wedding was held on Aug. 1 at the Chelsea Old Town Hall in London, where their eyes first met in the summer of 1996.
Heng wrote, “With our nephew as our ring bearer, our siblings as witnesses, our family and our closest friends, we exchanged rings and made a promise to love and cherish each other to the end of our days. It was well and truly one of the happiest days of our lives.”
