Crowded platforms along Circle Line stations in morning peak hours due to train fault

Just as another long-ass week started to wind down into the weekend, commuters were hit with early morning anxiety when a train fault disrupted services on the Circle Line.

Troubles started when SMRT tweeted that an additional travel time of 15 minutes are to be expected between Dhoby Ghaut and Bishan around 7.30 this morning.

The train fault was soon cleared — but commuters had to wait even longer in the already crowded stations.

It was only a little after 8am that train services went back to normal.
