Remember when eagle-eyed netizens spotted Singapore’s skyline looking all futuristic and snazzy in the trailer for season three of sci-fi series Westworld? Well, it appears the predictions are coming true, as an HBO spokesman confirmed “filming locations for the third season of the HBO drama series Westworld will include Singapore.”

Based on the 1973 film of the same name by Michael Crichton, the show is set in the fictional Westworld, a high-tech Wild West-themed amusement park where guests can live out their wildest fantasies with human-looking androids. It stars names like Evan Rachel Wood and Thandie Newton alongside Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul, who joins the cast for the latest season.

No further details like dates or locations have been released yet, although a search for casting calls online surfaces one from June 1 put out by local talent agency Fly Entertainment. The open call refers to the production as an unnamed HBO one, but its casting director is John Papsidera who – you guessed it – works on Westworld.

If you put all the puzzle pieces together, you’ll realize that the TV series is likely to film in Singapore from July 1 to 9 this year. The call for submissions may be over, but it looks like the scenes shot here will feature the lead actors as well, so get your camera phones ready for a little paparazzi action when the celebs reach our shores.
