Cuddles Cat Cafe has taken to Facebook to voice their side of the story, after news broke out yesterday that the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA) was investigating allegations of feline deaths and poor staff training against the establishment.
In a post uploaded on the evening of Dec. 16, the cafe confessed that seven out of the 20 cats they had purchased had indeed died. Three deaths were caused by “sterilisation and veterinary complications” while the other four were due to “Feline Infectious Peritonitises (FIP)”.
No cats have died since the cafe opened at *SCAPE on Sep. 18.
In the same post, the cafe detailed the condition of each cat before its death, in the hope that the public would “evaluate them as fairly as possible”.
