SMRT became a Tuesday morning punching bag for commuters after both its North-South Line (NSL) and East-West Line (EWL) were inundated by delays caused by track faults.
It all started around 7.19am when commuters had 10 minutes added to their travel time on the NSL from Bishan to Khatib MRT station, in the direction towards Jurong East. By 8.47am, the track fault at Khatib heaped another 20 minutes delay for commuters.
[NSL]: Due to a track fault, pls add 10mins travel time from #Bishan to #Khatib towards #JurongEast. Train service is still available.

As of writing, SMRT is still “working to recover service”. It’s been non-stop tweets of telling commuters to add X amount of minutes to travel time since. Looks bad, man.
