The cab driver who reversed hard into a stationary car at a carpark in Redhill before bolting off has been sacked — as he should be.
ComfortDelgro Corporation Limited (which owns CityCab) has issued a statement assuring The Straits Times that the errant driver in subject has been fired in the aftermath of the incident.
What an incident, too. The impact of the crash was so forceful, the parked car actually bounced up, horribly damaged and dented. The driver then drove off from the scene at high speed, initially believed to be running away before anyone catches him (the whole thing was caught on dashcam, unbeknowst to him).

Comfort Delgro, however, clarified that the taxi driver actually stopped his vehicle down the road before returning to the scene of the incident to pass his particulars to a shop owner who knew of the car’s owner. The company is said to be assisting the owner of the badly bruised vehicle with all required repairs.
