Co-owner and founder of Baker & Cook opens new culinary studio with hands-on classes

Set up by the co-owner and founder of Baker & Cook, Brettschneider’s Baking & Cooking School is the latest culinary studio to offer classes in Singapore. The space is tucked away in the lush Hillcrest suburb in Bukit Timah, and features an open concept kitchen with a modern, clean aesthetic.

As for the workshops, they range in difficulty level from easy to intense, and you get to take your pick from half-day sessions or two-day masterclasses. Dean Brettschneider himself will conduct the basic bread making course, adapted from his book BREAD, to teach the techniques of baking a variety of breads and rolls from basic dough. He’ll also take charge of classes like Italian flatbreads and pizza making, classic cakes, croissants and Danish pastry, and more.

Several workshops will be taught by professional guest chefs, including seafood sensations by Lino Sauro, healthy wholesome home cooking by Derek Ang, and macaroon madness by Jenna White. For caffeine addicts, you could attempt to become a barista for a day by signing up for the coffee-making course.

The space is also open for rent for private cooking classes, product launches and charity fundraisers.
