Circle Line comes to full (squiggly) circle when loop closes in 2025

It all comes full circle in 2025 when three more MRT stations finally close the loop for the Circle Line. Though it’ll look less like a circle and more like a toddler’s idea of one.

Senior Minister of State for Transport Ng Chee Meng made the announcement during a visit to Tuas West Extension today, stating that Keppel, Cantonment and Prince Edward MRT stations are coming. Channel NewsAsia reports that 12 out of the 33 Circle Line stations will be interchanges.

Commuters will be able to access direct routes between areas in the west side such as Pasir Panjang and Kent Ridge, as well as the Central Business District.

For something nearer to the future, 24 new Circle Line trains will be put into service by the middle of next year.
