Yesterday morning, one netizen by the name of Kailing Loh put up an urgent post on Facebook, calling for experienced Chow Chow handlers to come forward if they were keen on offering an eight-year-old canine a new home. According to the text, the dog’s owner had passed away, and a friend took initially took him in to care for him. However, with two children, a kitten, and another Chow Chow in their home, the family had troubling helping the new dog settle in.

It seems the furball had become aggressive after its owner’s passing, even biting the man’s hand, landing him in hospital. Worried for their young kids’ safety, as well as the well-being of the Chow Chow, the family said they could not handle the dog any longer and would have to let him go by Friday. If no one adopted him, he would be taken to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), where he could potentially be put down due to “age and aggression,” the post stated.

Revealing that the dog had turned temperamental after losing its owner, the netizen asked for the help of those with the know-how of handling this particular breed, as proper care and training for the dog was of utmost importance.

In a later update, she shared that five potential owners have since expressed interest and will be meeting the dog over the next few days after the current foster owner is discharged from the hospital. But if anyone out there is interested and confident of handling the Chow Chow, it’s still up for adoption.
