Chinese national gets 3 months in jail for attempting to bribe police over $2k

Last December, Chinese national Yang Ming Juan was charged in court for trying to bribe four police officers with $2,349 to release her from police custody. 

She has since pleaded guilty to one count of corruptly offering gratification to a police officer and was sentenced today to 3 months imprisonment. 

Another count of corruptly offering gratification to police officers was taken into consideration. 

She could have been fined up to $100,000 and/or sentence to imprisonment for up to five years.
