Congrats again to Changi Airport — it just keeps winning. This time, it’s the title of Airport Food Court of the Year. Straits Food Village at the Terminal 2 transit area is the one that claimed the honour, edging out competitors such as Zurich Airport, Dublin Airport and Sydney Airport.
This makes Changi Airport the first in Asia to win the award.
The food court only opened in December last year, and offers local dishes like Hainanese chicken rice and bak kut teh in a space that’s been decorated to look like a rural fishing village.
Select Group, whose F&B business arm Universal Dining manages Straits Food Village, has clinched the tender to manage the International Food Hall at Changi Airport’s Terminal 4. Opening in 2017, the food court will feature nine casual eateries, including cuisines like Vietnamese and Thai.
