Duckinson (an apt name for any distinguished duck) went missing yesterday afternoon, and its owner made a distraught plea on Facebook for help to find it.
The three-year-old muscovy duck, whose adventures are captured on its own Instagram page, was last seen yesterday morning in the backyard of its owner’s landed home along Upper Thomson Road, with only a trail of feathers left behind near St Theresa’s Home. Duckinson’s carer Siufang Lim even suspected that the bird had been a victim of a fowl ducknapping — since it usually doesn’t wander far from its home.
Thankfully, it wasn’t long till lil’ Duckinson was found stranded in a drain about a hundred meters away from its abode. Lim, however, wants to find out more about the alleged ducknapping, and is currently waiting to see if the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) of Singapore can provide her with CCTV footage installed within the vicinity.
