Local actress Joanne Peh just got hitched to her long-time Mediacorp colleague and fellow actor Qi Yuwu in a quiet ceremony in front of the Merlion statue on Sentosa Island.
Their wedding was completely unexpected, and it was only through Instagram images uploaded by celebrity hairstylist David Gan and local magazine Her World Brides that the public got to know about the secretive affair.
According to Lianhe Zaobao, only 39 guests were present, including Qi’s 11 friends and relatives from China. Reportedly, no other MediaCorp personalities were present at the ceremony.
Amidst all the congratulatory well-wishes by various outlets and celebrities, some have expressed their surprise about the sudden announcement.

The newlyweds have been friends and colleagues at Mediacorp for more than 10 years and have worked together in several TV shows, only going public with the relationship last year. Peh was previously involved in a high-profile relationship with DJ and actor Bobby Tonelli for four years.
