Seems like the fishing spots in Singapore just aren’t good enough. At least for these two guys, who hauled their fishing rods all the way to the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands for a scenic fishing day trip at the lily ponds. Perhaps it was the waterfront view that attracted them, or the aircon sanctuary just steps away.
Undeterred by not one but two warnings from radio personality Yasminne Cheng, who happened to walk by, the boys went into stealth mode and crept from place to place around the pond before finally abandoning their mission.
Reservoirs may be too mainstream for them, but for everyone else, feel free to fish at any one of the 10 allowed by the Public Utilities Board. Otherwise, you may get slapped with a $3,000 fine. And all the fish in the lily ponds just aren’t worth the trouble.
