Cars battle out hours-long traffic on Causeway during Hari Raya weekend

The prediction of heavy traffic this Hari Raya weekend from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) came true, as cars were situated bumper-to-bumper in hours-long traffic on the Causeway leading into Singapore yesterday.

The ICA had warned that travelers should expect delays at both the Tuas and Woodlands checkpoints.

Traffic was seen even on Friday, and the situation worsened with a glitch in the ICA’s system. To improve efficiency, the ICA has said it will open more immigration clearance counters in the necessary areas, Today Online reported.
