A car crash at Edgefield Plains in Punggol around 2am on Thursday (Mar 2) ended up with the vehicle smashed headfirst into the concrete roadside barrier, with its rear wheels suspended in the air near the walkway railing. Although the badly damaged car also uprooted a ‘Stop’ sign along the way, the driver thankfully did not sustain any serious injuries.

The 38-year-old man, who reportedly lost control of his car, is believed to be a private-hire driver. After the accident, he was helped out of the wreck by members of the public and later admitted into Changi General Hospital.

Investigations are underway.
