A 49-year-old motorcyclist tragically met his end on the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) when a taxi rammed into him from behind, sandwiching him in between another car.
His body had to be retrieved using hydraulic tools as it was pinned under a car.
Police have moved in to arrest the man behind the 4-vehicle collision that transpired on the morning of Dec 30. A 59-year-old taxi driver has since been apprehended for his involvement in the fatal road accident, and could be convicted for the offence of causing death by rash act. His driving license has also been suspended.
If found guilty, he could face up to two years in jail and/or a fine.
