Guess it’s true — budget airline Scoot will be launching a new flight to Honolulu, Hawaii. The low-cost carrier announced five new destinations today (Jul 25) at an event to celebrate its successful merger with sister airline Tigerair under one operating license and the Scoot brand, reported Channel NewsAsia.
According to The Straits Times, the last Tigerair Singapore flight departed Singapore at 11pm on Monday (Jul 24) and landed at Tiruchirappalli.
Besides Honolulu — which marks Scoot’s first stop in the US — the four new short- to mid-haul routes include Harbin, Kuantan, Kuching and Palembang. The Honolulu flight, which will hopefully launch before year-end (discussions with regulators are still under way), is set to be the airline’s second long-haul destination after Athens.
With these new routes, Scoot will offer a total of 65 destinations.
