Typically stately, dapper and solemn, national servicemen in uniform have to portray themselves as a mature, dutiful figure in public as representatives of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
This dude however probably did something better — being totally approachable to a young boy who was impressed by the “army person” by bonding over Beyblade and Pokémon.
Siew Woon (@turtlebossy on Twitter) witnessed the totally adorable encounter yesterday, in which the uniformed man thought nothing of entertaining a boy who approached him on the bus. Beyblade war stories were exchanged, and the Pokémon theme song was sang out loud. Never lose that childhood feeling y’all.
