Yet another body has been found floating on Kallang River yesterday morning, the latest grim episode to take place in the longest river in Singapore.

According to Lianhe Wanbao, a cleaner had spotted the body of an old man — believed to be in his 70s — around 8.30am.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force was alerted to the incident and officers managed to retrieve the body with the help of a nearby boat. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are currently investigating the case of unnatural death. The last time a body was found in the Kallang River was on Jan 2.
