Fish balls are common, cheap staples of Asian and Nordic cuisine that are basically grounded/puréed fish clumped together with other ingredients and fried, boiled or grilled.
So forgive us if we’re very pleased to see such an auteurist quality in the marketing efforts for such simple grub.
Local fishball brand BoBo (no strangers to putting out highly-polished commercials) just upped its own game in a new campaign with next-level production pizzazz. No one-off ads here — it’s a full-on short film cut into three parts to be released weekly. We won’t give away too much, but just know that it involves a proper storyline, cinematic shots, genuinely commendable acting, an outrageously flamboyant anthropomorphic fish and, of course, gratuitous product shots.
Watch the first two episodes below and stay tuned for the finale next week.
