Another day, another bizarre video featuring a dangerous driver on Singapore roads, except this particular driver decided it was a good opportunity to practice drifting while on the road.
The incident was captured in a video uploaded on the SG Kay Poh Facebook page on Friday evening.
The video has since received some 12,000 views as of press time and a string of puzzled commenters largely asking the perennial question: Why did the driver in question do what he did?
In the video, the driver of a Toyota pickup truck is seen driving much faster than other vehicles on the road as he switches between lanes.
He then does the ultimate trick in the book: drift in a 360-degree turn across the road before coming to a halt.
In doing so, the driver narrowly misses a motorcyclist driving in front of the truck.
It is unclear where the incident happened but that did not stop many netizens from chiming in on the situation, largely pointing out how lucky the biker was and how, erm, skillful the truck driver’s skills were.
In any case, it is a timely reminder to us all to be a bit more careful on the roads and not treat them like practice tracks for some drifting.
