On Saturday, one of the strangest fights ever to take place in a coffee shop was filmed, and the footage naturally went viral on Facebook over the weekend. It was at Block 684 Hougang Avenue 8 that the scuffle occurred, piquing the curiosity of people across Singapore who viewed the three-minute-long video in great bafflement.

First off, the woman sneered at the man in Mandarin, provoking him to hit her. He yelled in response that he doesn’t attack women, but then proceeded to rip off his shirt and climb over a metal railing before slapping her in the face.

Taken aback, the woman pointed at him and proceeded to collapse onto the floor in a dramatic faint, delivering quite the award-worthy performance. Perhaps that was what generated a round of applause from her audience — fellow patrons at the eatery.

After she rolled around on the ground for a bit, another woman entered the picture with a mug and smashed it into what looked like the man’s neck. She was presumably aiming for his head but missed, and the glass shattered upon impact with the floor.

Woman #1 then began to wail out loud (while still lying on the ground), but then she hit pause on the sobbing and held up her mobile phone in what looked like a typical selfie pose. Snapping evidence of the attack, maybe?

We’re honestly just as lost as you.

Watch the strange incident unfold below.

It’s unclear what started the brawl, but the police were eventually alerted to the case of voluntarily causing hurt around 12:30am, according to STOMP. A spokesperson said, “the parties involved were advised on their legal recourse.”
