On Wednesday morning, one animal-loving netizen who goes by the name of Burnard Seow took to Facebook with something to crow about. Apparently, like a scene right out of Enchanted, his flat was recently visited by a feathery guest, a crow that landed outside his kitchen window and hopped right over to him when he made eye contact and called out “hello”.

Seow moved closer while speaking to it softly, and still the bird stayed in its position staring at him. Eventually, the Bird Whisperer raised his hand in an attempt to touch it, and the crow actually bowed its head and snuggled into the caress, like they were instant friends.

When Seow noticed the bird glancing at the trash can in the kitchen, he instinctively gave it a chunk of banana with water, which the creature happily received.

Fifteen minutes and a quick flying tour of the house later, the animal took off into the skies.

But that didn’t mark the end of Seow’s escapades with the bird, as it visited its new friend at least five more times.

The crow turned out to be quite the intelligent creature, too. But really though, crows are terrifyingly clever — they can remember faces, they can conspire, and they have long memories.

Yesterday morning, when Seow was at work — interestingly, his profile states that he’s employed by Wildlife Reserves Singapore — the crow returned and made a mess of crumbs on the floor while it nibbled away on bread. His helper scolded it before exiting the kitchen for a bit, but when she returned, the bird had apparently picked up all the crumbs and dropped them into the rubbish bin.

It also took the tissue his helper used to clean up its poop and threw it out the window, seemingly in an attempt to make amends.

Even today, the adventures of the man and the bird continue on.
