As if there aren’t enough cars, lorries, motorbikes and other vehicles to ‘saman’, a bicycle has received an unfortunate summons notice for being chained to a staircase landing last week.
A netizen uploaded an image on Stomp, showing a notice by the Sembawang Town Council pasted on a bicycle at a HDB block along Woodlands Drive, looking very much like a ‘saman’.
Town Council clarifies it was a notice on bicycle, not a “saman” http://t.co/mLb43aUaJK pic.twitter.com/UMUCY3xEH6

The note warned that the bicycle will be forcefully removed by the Town Council should it still remain five days after the posting.
Sembawang Town Council spotted the post on Stomp and issued a clarification two days ago that the note is in fact not a summons — simple a notice to the owner of the bicycle that it is parked illegally.
The Town Council mentioned that they’ve removed the bicycle accordingly. Just another day in the heartlands.
