Audi sports car ploughs through Bras Basah Road pavement, takes down 3 lamp posts in crash

The rainy weather this morning may have caused a lot more than just wet socks and shoes — a driver had to be conveyed to the hospital after severely crashing his Audi R8 V10 in front of the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd.

According to Roads.sg, the intense crash took place early this morning around 6am — the sports car ploughed through the pavement along Bras Basah Road. So severe was the accident that the car took three lamp posts down with it. Just look at the aftermath of the collision:

Fortunately, the driver was said to be conscious when the ambulance carted him away to the hospital. Even luckier for him was the fact that there were no pedestrians along the pathway when his car hurtled down the pavement.

Interestingly enough, the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd just hosted its first mass on Sunday (Nov 20) after a three-year restoration project.
