Funny Asians take centre stage at the inaugural Singapore Comedy Fringe

The inaugural Singapore Comedy Fringe will see 30 comics performing in eight shows from April 23 — 26.

Presented by The Comedy Club Asia, the people who are bringing in well-known ventriloquist Jeff Dunham on May 21, the festival features a number of Asian performers including Singaporeans Daniel Heng, Jinx Yeo, Sharul Channa and Wai Sing.

Among the highlights are the all-female gig Show Us Your Wits (April 23), Malaysian Mirth Mafia (April 24) and Stand-Up For Singapore (April 26).

The event takes place over the same four days as the Magners Singapore International Comedy Festival, adding on to a big week for comedy in the country.

Tickets are available through Sistic priced at $20 for 7:30pm shows and $38 for 9:30pm shows. Two-show packages are also available for $48. All shows will be held at the DBS Arts Centre.
