In an unexpected gesture, English Premier League football clubs Arsenal (currently ranked third in the Premier League) and Chelsea (currently in top standing) along with German team Borussia Dortmund have all expressed their sadness and sympathy for the people of Singapore over the demise of the nation’s iconic leader, Lee Kuan Yew.
It really was a pleasant surprise that the European football clubs actually care about their Singapore fans — enough to send a kind letter of sympathy.
It is not known which football club Lee Kuan Yew supported, but we’re guessing he was a hardcore Lions fan.
