The police have arrested a 20-year-old woman for her alleged involvement in online ticket scams for Ed Sheeran and Coldplay concerts, as well as theme park Universal Studios Singapore. Apparently, she offered discounted tickets to the two gigs and the local attraction, but soon become uncontactable after she received the money.

Several victims lodged police reports between Feb 14 last year and May 17 this year, after they were reportedly cheated by her, said the Singapore Police Force. It is believed that she was behind more than 10 cases of cheating.

The culprit was subsequently identified and arrested by officers from Tanglin Police Division on May 19 along Kampong Java Road. Investigations are ongoing.

If she’s convicted of cheating, she could face a jail sentence of up to 10 years and a fine.
