A 39-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday morning in Geylang for committing a rash act, as well as drug and traffic-related offences. He had evaded a police roadblock and led officers on a car chase, resulting in collisions with four other vehicles.

The roadblock was placed along Guillemard Road towards Paya Lebar Road around 4am. According to The Straits Times, the man did not adhere to a police officer’s instructions to stop – instead, he zoomed off, crashing into four other vehicles, including two taxis, a police vehicle, and a van.

Luckily, no injuries were reported.

Shin Min Daily News said that there were about 10 officers conducting investigations at the scene. A black car with a shattered windscreen and dents on its hood was spotted in the vicinity.

The suspect is believed to have been on drugs during the incident. Investigations are ongoing.
