Within 30 minutes, a man allegedly managed to outrage the modesty of three women along the North-East Line last Friday night.
The 56-year-old man — believed to have been drunk — was arrested after police were alerted to the case around 11.50pm, Shin Min Daily News reports.
Witnesses had seen the suspect touching a woman on her thigh after boarding the train at HarbourFront MRT station. Another female passenger was harassed later on, they claimed.
His spree of harassment was eventually shut down when he allegedly grabbed another woman’s wrist. The man attempted to alight at Serangoon MRT station, but was detained by two other male passengers.
Together with the suspect, the witnesses got off at Kovan, where the police placed him under arrest.
