Singaporeans have been told that their accents sound like a mixture of others but what exactly?
TikTok user Vee said she is sure that Singaporeans share the same accents as Nigerians.
“Do you guys know that Nigerians and Singaporeans have literally the same accents?” she said.

Vee then shared TikToks of two women speaking from online publication Must Share News and another of Singaporean influencer Nicole Liel.
“Did you just see that like are we related?” Vee said.
Several commenters agreed with Vee but a handful said that the women sound Ghanaian instead.
Even Singaporeans chimed in to say that they don’t hear the similarities at all.
So do you think Singaporeans sound like Nigerians? Our accent might be hard to break down but we sure do speak fast.
