Apple Pay now finally available to DBS, POSB, OCBC and UOB cardholders

Finally. That little Wallet icon on your iPhones doesn’t have to be hidden anymore now that Apple Pay has extended their service to include other major local banks in Singapore.

As of today, Apple’s mobile payment and digital wallet service isn’t just limited to American Express card members here. If you’re a DBS/POSB, OCBC or UOB cardholder, now you too can feel extremely chuffed by technology as you simply wave your iPhone or Apple Watch to make payments.

According to the Apple Singapore website, their service has been aggressively expanded to include a lot more practical places where you’d most likely shop. Wave your way past impressed cashier aunties at Cold Storage, Fairprice, Giant and Sheng Siong or even gain the quiet approval of baristas at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Starbucks.

Expect progressive adoption of the system though — but as long as you can find the Apple Pay symbol at checkout, you should be good to tap your device away. More details on the Apple website.
