Entertainment news platform Variety Magazine has named the multi award-winning Anthony Chen as one of 10 directors to watch.
Since the launch of Ilo Ilo, a heart-tugging tale of a Singaporean family and their Filipino domestic helper, Chen has picked up awards at this year’s Cannes International Film Festival, Golden Horse Awards, Mumbai Film Festival, Vladivostok International Film Festival and more… much more.
The list also includes British writer and director Amma Asante and Maya Forbes, who’s worked on Monsters Vs. Aliens and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
