Another dead cat turns up in Yishun, days after second suspect was arrested

Just when we thought it’d be a while before we hear about dead cats in Yishun, a new carcass has been found.

The black-and-white feline was found dead at Block 162 along Yishun Street 11 at 4.30pm yesterday, according to the Yishun 326 Tabby cat Facebook page.

This could be the 21st case of alleged cat abuse in Yishun, and just days after the second suspect behind the cat killings in the neighbourhood was caught. The first suspect — Lee Wai Leong — has been charged in court and is out on bail to spend Chinese New Year with his family.

But then again, this new case may or may not be due to human intervention — the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA) has found that not all of the reported cases in Yishun were due to animal cruelty.
