Amos Yee, out on a $10,000 bail since May 12, is back in prison.
Singapore’s defiant teenage blogger was remanded for three weeks today pending a report on his suitability to serve reformative training, which has no bail option.
District Judge Jasvender Kaur made the decision this morning after Yee rejected the option of probation and a term in the Reformative Training Centre as a sentence.
He’d rather serve a jail term.
Yee arrived in court this morning “clad in a yellow T-shirt, a tan cardigan and track pants…and showed his middle finger to the media as he passed them,” noted The Straits Times.
What a class act.
