Accident at Tuas Checkpoint: One killed, two injured

This morning, an accident at Tuas Checkpoint killed one and injured two, causing a huge traffic jam. The Singapore Civil Defence Force received a call for assistance at 5.09am and dispatched an ambulance – when paramedics arrived, they pronounced a man in his 50s dead at the scene and sent a woman and a man, both conscious and in their 30s, to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

At 6.39am, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority stated that motorists should expect delays, as the accident happened during the morning peak period. By 7.07am, the incident had also affected the bus and lorry lane on the arrival link bridge.

Investigations are ongoing.
