A teenage girl’s hand was crushed in a sugarcane juicer when she was helping her father at his sugarcane stall at a Toa Payoh Lorong 8 on Dec. 22.
According to Channel NewsAsia, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) had to use tools to release her right hand, which was stuck in the machine when they arrived.
The 14-year-old girl was reported to be conscious and was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for treatment.
It is believed that her bones were crushed and she suffers injuries from her fingers to her wrist area.
