$97,000 worth of heroin found in Singapore’s first drug bust this year

Nearly 1kg of heroin was seized at the Woodlands Checkpoint on the morning of Jan. 2, the Central Narcotics Bureau has revealed.

According to TODAY, the drugs were found tucked within the clothes of a 25-year-old Malaysian man riding a Malaysian-registered motorcycle.

He’d hidden the bundles in front of his lower abdominal area and in the back of his trousers.

The heroin capture worth $97,000 is Singapore’s first in 2014.
