This December, Singapore heads to the cosmos again with six homegrown satellites launching from India.
Indo Asian News Service reports that Singapore Technologies Electronics Ltd will be launching their dedicated 500kg earth observation spacecraft — capable of taking images at ground resolution — will be used for disaster and environment monitoring, maritime safety, urban planning and homeland security.
Say goodbye to privacy? Maybe.
Five other smaller satellites from Singapore universities will also be launched concurrently on Indian Space Research and Organisation (ISRO)’s polar satellite launch vehicle into a near equatorial orbit.
