6-month, all-day access trial for foldable bikes on public transport met with mixed reactions

For now, foldable bicycles on public transport are only allowed during off-peak hours. But soon, you’ll be able to bring your foldable bikes and personal mobility devices, such as kick-scooters and hoverboards, on public transport anytime you want. When the six-month trial for buses and trains launches, it’ll be a daily all-access pass for commuters with these devices, said Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan.

“However for this trial to be a success, public transport commuters and those who bring their bicycles and PMDs onto the buses and trains need to give-and-take, and be considerate to one another,” said Khaw.

But it seems the public has mixed reactions to the trial. Like these netizens below.

Then again, it’s only a trial — which means if it doesn’t work, it’ll be over in six months.
